Metals 1: Project 2

Hey hey, Behold metals Project 2!
The criteria for this project was
1) Make a hollow ring form
2) Use a piece of art over 150 years old as inspiration and make it contemporary

<-------- The piece I chose was Ship of Fools by Hieronymus Bosch.  In case you aren't familiar with this artist he was an awesome Dutch painter who was born around 1450.

I didn't take pics of the entire process because a lot of it was like Project 1. Except for the raising(shaping) of the boat and all the soldering. Anyways.
The whole ring is 3 inches tall so it's more of a sculptural masterpiece (lol) than something you'd actually wear.
My thought behind the colors was this: "Fools... Jesters... Clowns... Ronald McDonald. Ah, yes. Ronald McDonald it is"

The whole piece is metal except for the flag which is lovely, soft leather.
Crazy, huh.
